Samford High PE students are currently participating in our Cardio Month Challenge. Students are encourage to get as much cardio in on their OWN before or after school. Student's have been making progress!!

Month of Cardio Challenge

We have challenged all of our students this month to get as much cardio in as possible. Everyone is encouraged to document their progress. I, Coach Powers started my cardio today. Here is a very nice trail off Lakeshore Drive with a peaceful view!

Self-esteem reflects a person's overall emotional evaluation of his or her own worth. It is a judgment of oneself as well as an attitude toward the self

This week will be going over one of our health lessons. The topic this week is SELF-ESTEEM. Kids entering high school are at a pivotal point in their lives. It’s very easy for them to find things they think are wrong with them.

NEW JUMP ROPE UNIT!!!!

We hope everyone enjoyed their Spring Break!!! We will be starting a new Jump Rope Unit Tomorrow! There are tons of benefits to Jump Roping. We will learn about these benefits this week. Students will also get a chance to work in groups to create a Jump Rope routine to any song of their choice.

We recently learned more about the "Triple Threat" basketball position!
Wrong Triple Threat Position, Ball is to low

Correct Triple Threat Position, Ball is under chin, feet are squared. Student can shoot, dribble, or pass from this position!
